Meadowcreek Parkway Trail Closure and Detour
Construction has begun on the portion of the Meadowcreek Parkway which runs from Rio Road to Melbourne Rd. This project is expected to take two and a half years and will cause the section of the Rivanna Trail from Melbourne Rd to the Norfolk Southern Railroad overpass to be closed for most of that period.
RTF is actively working with Albemarle County and VDOT to ensure that as much of this section of trail can be preserved as possible.
